Things to Do in Minnetonka
In the warmer months, hit up Shady Oak Beach and swim at the lake with the whole family. There are on-duty lifeguards, so it’s fun without the worry. This beach is unlike any other, because there’s even a high dive! You can also walk the trails or go fishing at Shady Oak Park.
For sports, visit Minnetonka Community Center, where there are softball and soccer fields, a volleyball and basketball court, playground, and horseshoe pit. There’s also an indoor ice arena open to the public year-round, and lessons are available for skating and hockey.
Ridgedale Mall is a popular spot for weekend shopping and dining in Minnetonka. Inside you’ll find popular stores, such as Macy’s and Apple. Stop in the Build-A-Bear Workshop and the Disney Store with the kids; split a delicious dessert with your date at The Cheesecake Factory; or grab a latte with friends at Caribou Coffee.
BLVD Kitchen, an American bistro, bar and grill, offers happy hour every day of the week and is a Minnetonkan favorite. This includes specials on appetizers varying from calamari to their very own BLVD wings. For dinner, try their lobster mac and cheese or blackened pork chop.
